Pico Island

There are nine volcanically formed islands in Portugal's Azores archipelago. Divers, surfers, kayakers, bird watchers, paragliders, and whale watchers can all be found here. The region is frequently visited by pods of dolphins as well as giant whales like blue whales and sperm whales. Don't pass up the opportunity to see blue whales as they migrate every year.
